Admission Information
 

Admission into the Program:

Criteria for seeking admission to the program include:

  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 overall including all transfer work.
  • Graduation from an accredited associate degree or diploma nursing program; diploma candidates must submit a portfolio;
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio;
  • Completion of the following prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of "C":

    BIOL 2050, 3140+3150, 3310, 3320 (General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I and II)
    CHEM 1090+1100 or 1250 (Elementary Chemistry w/lab)
    GSW 1120 (Composition II)
    MATH (competency above 095/basic algebra level)
    MATH 1150 (Statistics)
    PSYC 1010 (General Psychology)
    PSYC 3100 (Lifespan Development)
    FN 2070 (Nutrition)
    CS 1000 (Computer Basics)
    PHIL 1020 or 2420 (Ethics)

Special Considerations:

Fees for the nursing program are the same as for all other degree programs at BGSU. However, there are additional charges for required professional liability insurance, physical examinations, specific health tests, laboratory fees and workbooks.
