- BLS Students must complete a minimum of 122 hours, at least 30 of which must be completed after being accepted into the BLS program.
- 100 hours are requried in
Arts and Sciences course work. 40 of these hours must be 3000/4000 level courses. Students can choose their own course of study

- No more than 27 hours within any one department/school in the College of Arts & Sciences can be credited toward graduation requirements.
- As with all baccalaureate candidates, students
must complete the University BG Perspective (General Education)
curriculum as
distributed as follows:
- GSW 1100 or 1110 (formerly ENG 110 or 111), if needed,
as indicated by placement tests
- GSW 1120 (formerly ENG112)
- Two Natural Sciences
- Two Social and Behavioral
Sciences
- Two Arts and Humanities
- One Cultural Diversity course
- One International Perspective course
