to promote quality online course creation.

COBL has created an invaluable
online repository of information
about such topics as current online
pedagogical trends, instructional
design strategies, online teaching
tips and suggestions, and countless
other resources. If you have a resource
that you consult quite often and
want to share the information with
your colleagues please let us know
by emailing cobl@bgsu.edu.
Your name will appear next to the
resource as the contributor, unless
otherwise noted.

There are a large number of institutional
offices and individuals who offer
resources and services which are
only available to members of the
campus community. Many of the resources
are available via the web which can
be accessed in any location that
permits internet connectivity. For

My
BGSU Portal
The university's information technology
services (ITS) division, in its continuous
effort to enhance campus communications
and integrate multiple administrative
systems into one centralized environment,
has purchased and developed a enterprise
portal system appropriately named
MyBGSU. The link above will direct
COBL guests to the appropriate MyBGSU
self-help section of the ITS mainpage.
Blackboard
For any technical or general
questions concerning Blackboard, the
learner management system at BGSU,
please review the information that
can be found by selecting the option
above. If the answer to the question
you have cannot be found within our
Blackboard resources section, try the
self-help pages created by ITS click

Software Applications
Most of the supporting rich media
that can be used within an online
course requires an additional plug-in
that some faculty and students may
not have installed on their home
or office
computers.

to Web 2.0 applications and emerging
technologies which can be used within
an online course
to
support
and encourage constructivist learning.
Most Web 2.0 applications are free
to use and simply run within the
browser. If you are interested in
learning more about this technology
